Coding for Kids Project

In the months of spring in 2022, Iridium Tutoring Ltd. will be hosting a series of coding events in libraries across MetroWest to promote coding and computer literacy to elementary and middle school students.

Each event will be two and a half hours long, which will be held in libraries across MetroWest. Personal computers may be brought, but Chromebooks will be provided by Iridium Tutoring.

Westborough - Sunday, 5/1/22 - 2:00-4:15pm

  • Event will be held at the Westborugh Public Library on Sunday, May 1 from 2:00-4:15pm

  • Bring your own laptop or use one of the Chromebooks provided by Iridium Tutoring

  • Learn about coding: Scratch or Python!

Previously Held: Shrewsbury Library

Objectives

  • To promote computer literacy and coding to over thirty K-8 students without programming experience

  • To teach block-coding and basics of computers

  • To assist students in building a small application that are able to perform some function
